X-mas in July!

Hi Stampers,

Wow 2 posts in one day! Over the past couple of days I’ve been chatting to some old friends from the U.S. who I’ve just reconnected with. (I’m facebooks new #1 fan!!!) And as many of you would be aware in the U.S they celebrate July 4th in grand style. I’m talking the whole hog here…….food, family and celebrations galore!!! It’s an amazing day which I can tell you in truth because I was lucky enough to witness it once a few years back (actually it was 16 years ago but who’s counting!) It was such an awesome experience that it has always stayed in my mind. So anyway… while I was thinking about all those lucky Americans having all of the fun I decided to have some fun of my own! It’s not quite the same but since I couldn’t exactly pack my bags and jump on a plane I came up with this card instead. It’s my x-mas in July card! I’ve only used the colours from the bella rose d.s.p partly as a bit of a challenge for myself but mostly just because they are gorgeous colours and I LOVE them!!! I’ve used the Season of Joy stamp set. I’ve also used the new riding hood red taffeta ribbon, the border eyelet punch to make that gorgeous scallop edge and a flower brad for bling! If your wishlist contains more than a few items then consider having a workshop. The best bit is you don't need any supplies - I will bring everything! Can’t have a workshop…

There are 3 kinds of SU demonstrators: 1. The hobbyist - those who just want the discount on their own purchases. 2. The self-funded hobbyist - those who sell products to friends and family to fund all of their own purchases. 3. The business builder - those who want to do some workshops and earn some extra cash. So no matter which category you fit into Stampin' Up! wants you! And amazing as it may sound they actually care about each one of their demontrators in exactly the same way regardless of their earnings! This was proven to me at the 2009 SU convention when Shelli Gardner - CEO of SU stood on stage and cried (in front of 450+ demonstrators!) while expressing to us this very fact! (Well I'm pretty sure that part wasn't on the teleprompter anyway...)
